劇情簡介：
一段來自偏遠洞窟的少女自殺影片，夾帶著求救信號，透過社群網絡傳送給知名女演員貝娜賈法利。
謎樣少女生死未卜，女演員和電影導演決定放下手邊的工作，深入操持亞塞拜然當地語言的伊朗西北部，一探影像背後的真相，共同展開尋覓少女下落的公路之旅。
過程中，貝娜與導演賈法先是受到當地居民熱烈歡迎，後來知曉他們為了要找尋失蹤少女時，卻又開始群情激憤更引起許多爭執，這些被傳統束縛壓抑的村民們和想要拯救女孩的大明星之間將引發什麼樣的事端…

奪獎無數的伊朗知名導演賈法潘納希在軟禁中仍戮力拍攝電影潘納希以《三張面孔》獲得坎城劇本獎美國影評人盛讚最無畏的導演頻頻在國際影展奪下大獎的伊朗名導賈法潘納希，曾在1995年處女作《白氣球》拿下當年的坎城金攝影機獎；接著1997年的第二部作品《誰能帶我回家》則成為盧卡諾影展的最高榮譽金豹獎得主，也是當年紐約影評人協會的最佳外語片；而第三部電影《生命的圓圈》又獲得了威尼斯影展金獅獎。
這三部電影也讓賈法潘納希奠立基礎成為國際影壇最受矚目的伊朗導演，但也因為賈法的直言不諱與勇於挑戰當局的作為，讓他成為伊朗政府眼中的頭痛人物，同時也對他下達禁拍令長達20年。
2018年雖然仍在伊朗政府的禁拍令之下，但是賈法潘納希又繳出一張大膽無畏的勝利成績單《三張面孔》，這部電影不僅獲得坎城影展最佳劇本獎，同時在參加紐約影展時，也被美國影評形容賈法潘納希絕對是「21世紀最有勇氣與膽量的重量級導演！
」由於被禁拍的原因，所以潘納希有時候不得不使用低畫數的iphone手機拍攝，同時穿插劇情片與非劇情片的拍攝手法，也成為潘納希獨特的影像風格。
在《三張面孔》劇情敘述一位青春期的少女因為想要成為演員而被家人阻止之後，她錄下一段死前影片送給知名女星貝娜賈法利，使得正在忙碌拍攝的女星協同潘納希一起前往亞塞拜然地區尋找這位少女，在與村民和少女家族紛爭不斷的情況下，最後才發現原來少女潛逃到一位過氣的女星家中珂柏拉薩伊迪家中。
於是這三位女性角色成為《三張面孔》中意義重大的象徵，雖然珂柏拉薩伊迪並未露臉，但是片中知名演員也都以真實姓名出現，包括導演賈法潘納希本人，這也是潘納希電影的特徵之一。
賈法潘納希首度入選坎城影展主競賽女兒上台代領最佳劇本獎伊朗名導賈法潘納希繼《計程人生》拿下柏林影展最高榮譽金熊獎之後，在2018年拍攝的《三張面孔》是他首度入選坎城影展主競賽的作品，也是賈法潘納希被伊朗政府下令不得拍攝電影之後的第四部劇情長片。
雖然潘納希同時被限制出境，無法出席《三張面孔》的坎城影展首映，影展方仍留了一席標著導演賈法潘納希的位子空著給他，以示對他的敬意。
《三張面孔》有別於賈法潘納希在禁令之下的其他作品，本片故事性極強，電影製作也最複雜。
潘納希透過偽紀錄片的形式，從一名渴望成為演員的少女被當地民眾嫌惡開始談起，明喻了伊朗當地保守父權社會對女性自主權壓迫等荒謬窘境。
除此之外，《三張面孔》談到伊朗對藝術夢想的摧殘，也能看見潘納希對伊朗審查制度的不滿與抗議。
潘納希在《三張面孔》中將故事與議題融合絕佳，也讓他拿下當屆坎城影展主競賽最佳劇本獎，但無法離開伊朗國境的潘納希導演，則由女兒索爾馬茲潘納希上台致詞領獎，並以電話連線的方式出席記者會。
