菜鳥實習生禹勝賢，首日上班就被分到做事要求完美、個性難搞的金鐘燦小組長的部門裡，因做事生疏常常在工作上有許多失誤，導致鐘燦對他十分苛刻，但在勝賢清澈明亮的雙眼裡看到的，是鐘燦組長那帥氣的外表。
當勝賢的工作逐漸上手，卻被其他部門的同仁欺負後，開始認同他能力的鐘燦，對勝賢卻產生好奇心和莫名感覺，而在兩人工作互動過程中，勝賢對組長的愛意竟愈發滋長，某次鐘燦忍不住的意外之吻，正式敲開母胎單身的勝賢心門，只是同為愛情苦手又是上司與實習生身份的兩人，要如何迎接這場秘密的社內戀愛呢？

2022年12月，韓國BL影集《新進職員》在Watcha獨家播出，每次發布劇照、海報以及預告時，都獲得激烈迴響，討論熱潮持續不墜，上線第一週就在Watcha排行榜前十名勇奪第二，第二週起就霸住冠軍寶座、穩居第一，足見它在韓國的受歡迎程度。
此外，影集也銷售到日本、台灣等130多個國家，更擴大這股「職員魅力」。
像是在日本的樂天電視台成為話題收視第一名韓劇，甚至在北美、歐洲、紐澳等地也都連續好幾週打進串流平台的前五名，引起不小話題。
隨著電影版的推出消息公開，粉絲之間爭相走告，期待能在大銀幕上看到菜鳥勝賢與鐘燦組長這對又帥又可愛的CP再次放閃。
